Manufacturing process Extruded cold plate: Molded in one piece through an extrusion die, with no welds and no connection interfaces.
Embedded Tube Cold Plates: Cooling tubes are pressed or bonded into the base plate slots.
Brazed cold plate: Multiple metal sheets are fused together through high-temperature brazing to form a complex internal structure.
FSW Cold Plate: Solid-state connection using friction stir welding, high weld quality, no melting
Flow channel complexity
Extruded cold plate: The flow channel design is relatively simple, usually a straight line or a simple curved channel, which is limited by the complexity of the extrusion die.
Embedded tube cold plate: The flow channel is tubular, which allows a certain degree of layout flexibility.
Brazed Cold Plates / FSW Cold Plates: Extremely complex and high-density internal fin or microchannel structures can be designed for optimal heat transfer.
