What is the liquid in the water cooling plate radiator?

The basic requirements of a water-cooled plate radiator:

The key to liquid heat dissipation is cooling liquid, which needs to be able to absorb heat quickly. At the same time, it can efficiently transfer heat during vaporization and liquefaction, and it is not corrosive. It will not cause damage to the water-cooled plate and machinery and equipment.

At present, the primary coolants are divided into the following three types:

Users need to choose according to their own needs carefully.

1. Deionized purified water

Pure water is a suitable heat dissipation medium, and the price is relatively low, mainly because it does not pollute the environment. Of course, it also has the disadvantage that pure water is easily polluted, and it is difficult to maintain the insulating state after pollution.

Therefore, It can only use in some non-direct contact liquid cooling technologies. Moreover, if a leak occurs during power-on operation, it will cause fatal damage to the cooling equipment.

2. Mineral oil

Mineral oil is often found in many machinery and equipment. Although mineral oil is inexpensive and insulating, it is highly viscous and breaks down quickly. Therefore, under certain conditions, there is still a risk of burning.

3. Oxidizing solution

The oxidizing solution was initially used as a circuit board cleaning solution. Because it is insulating and not easy to burn, it is widely used in water cooling for data centers, servers, etc.

Oxidizing fluid is currently the most widely used liquid immersion coolant. At the same time, it is also the most expensive of the three coolants.
